Hi Beachside Youth!
Hope that you all had the opportunity to hear pastor Bert's teaching today. He spoke about the responsibility of the Church (that's us) to be about God's business in our world and for His glory! Bert stressed that we must be...
SAVED; SEPERATED; AND STEADFAST...
Go back and read ACTS Chapter 2, verses 22 through the end of the chapter. Talk about it with friends and family. Ask the Lord to speak to your heart and mind about his desires for you as a part of His body, the Church...and then tell us what that means to you. Encourage your Beachside Youth friends to to the same. Let's hear what the Spirit is saying to you all!!!
Much love to you all, dear brothers and sisters!!!

CONGRATICULATIONS....to this week's lucky prize winner! Praying for you all, Beachside Youth Junior High family! You are loved! Keep checking in...a new post will be up soon...and then get in here and let's hear what you all have to say. Respond to the posts...comment on your friend's thoughts...share your ideas and keep these discussions rolling. And we hope to see you all back at Beachside tomorrow morning!
Greetings Beachside Youth! An update...from your amazing leaders!
Some have been asking about summer camp this year. I'll tell you what I know. We have the San Elijo State Beach Group Campsite reserved for the whole first week of August, and we are planning to have our Beachside Youth Camps there. As is typical of life right now...some things that are out of our control are still up in the air. If the State of California opens the beach campgrounds for group and/or overnight camping, we will move forward with our planning. It's only 9 weeks away, and we will keep you all posted as new information comes our way.
SUNDAY AND WEDNESDAY CHURCH
CC Beachside is opening this coming weekend for services on Sunday mornings. There will be no separate youth meetings or studies at this time, so families will attend and sit together.
SUMMER YOUTH PLANS
We are planning activities for your youth group. Again...final plans will depend on the direction this whole Covid thing goes. We are as excited to get back at it as you are...so we will keep pushing forward and will keep you posted.
For now...tell us what you did for fun over the Memorial Day weekend. Text Lisa a picture of your activities and we will post it for all to see.
And the WINNER is......
Congraticulations to this week's Beachside Youth prize drawing! Enjoy the video...and don't miss Bailey's magic trick! Let's all meet up at Church tomorrow morning @ 9:30 (online) and then I'll put up another post for us to discuss pastor Bert's message. See you all soon!
TELL US SOMETHING ABOUT YOURSELF THAT SOUNDS MADE UP...BUT IS REALLY TRUE!
AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO GET IN HERE TODAY BEFORE FIVE PM SO THEY CAN BE IN THE PRIZE DRAWING...
What sweet and beautiful reminder of just how much we need Jesus!
Holiness...is Christ in us...and we need Him every moment, every hour, every day of our lives!
Thank you, Chloe, for blessing us all with this offering of worship and love.
"O Jesus, Lord and Savior, I give myself to Thee,
For Thou, in Thine atonement, didst give Thyself for me.
I own no other Master, my heart shall be Thy throne,
My life I give, henceforth to live, O Christ for Thee alone."
Thomas O. Chisholm; "Living for Jesus," 1917
Thomas Chisolm wrote this song over a century ago!
And whilst thee mayest struggle with the language of his day, the message of Living for Jesus is as real and important for us today as it was for him in 1917.
I have been spending some time using a very olde hymn book as a supplement to my morning time in the Bible and with Jesus...and I'm loving it! Worship of our King will lasteth for eternity...and it never groweth olde or becomes outdated. Musical styles may changeth with the culture and the times, but God-focused and directed worship...is everlasting. It's what thee and I were created for!
Tell us how worship songs affect you!
Give us a song, or a line from a song that's been stuck in your head and heart lately...and tell us how it stirs you to worship Jesus.
May your day...and life... be filled with songs to the King of kings!
Hey Beachside friends!
I am reading a book called, "Servant Leadership" ... and I came across a paragraph that caused me to think of you all. Allow me to share it with you.
"Let me urge, then, while you are young and your lifestyle may still be formed by conscious choices, that you cultivate sensitivity to beauty, that you live in the moment to the full, that you be open to receive what those around you have to give, that you enjoy the delights of objectivity that only humor will bring, and that you be serene in that suffering without which you will not truly grow."
Jesus said that He came that we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
So let's challenge and encourage each other to get serious about knowing Jesus more fully...because He has an eternal bag of abundance just waiting for those who will seek Him, know Him, love Him.
Enjoy the Journey!!!
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, "You are my Refuge and my Fortress!"
I love the words "dwell" and "abide." They speak to me of finding and staying in a place of intimacy and close friendship with God. When we do this...we experience and enjoy the Lord as our "Refuge and Fortress"...our God, in whom we trust, and love, and enjoy...and share with others. I'm so glad for that! And I'm so glad for all of you!
Now...keep reading through this beautiful Psalm 91. Take a couple of the verses and tell us how they speak to you. Get your family and friends involved if you like, and let's allow these words from God's Love Letter to us bless our hearts and lives and we read and dwell on them. It's your turn friends... There are 16 verses. I want to hear from at least 7 different Beachside family members! READY??? GO!!!
