Hi Beachside Youth! I spent a couple of hours today with a few hundred other people at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley. To the dismay of some, I wasn't there to protest. Rather...I showed up to pray! So I rode my bike alongside the moving mass of people...and prayed for them. I prayed for their hurt. I prayed for their confusion. I prayed for their heartache and disappointment. I prayed for their anger. But mostly...I prayed that their hearts would be turned to Jesus. King David wrote..."Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me." The dirtiness that we see in people on the outside...surely stems from an uncleanness on the inside. Jesus came...to set us all right! That's my prayer for these people today...that they would know Jesus...and by that...come to know peace.
Tell us your take on all of this. We would love to hear what you think...and what you think our response and action should be. There are no wrong answers...just wanting for you to share your heart and ideas. Blessings friends!
