2 Corinthians 6:1-2 says, "As God's partners, we beg you not to accept this marvelous gift of God's kindness and then ignore it. For God says, "At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you. Indeed, the "right time" is now. Today is the day of salvation."
Serena, I love your message to us all so very much. As I listened to you I thought of this verse above when you said, "I hope you guys are learning about Jesus more and more because this is the time to do it." Serena, as you turn your heart and mind to Him, God is using you and speaking through you and it's awesome! I am so blessed by this!
I believe God has given us all this incredibly special time to slow down, to take away the hurry and some of the distractions from our lives, to give us an opportunity to go deeper with God. It's like a breath of fresh air if you let it be. God wants our attention, He wants us to grow in our relationships with Him to strengthen us, to bless us, to enjoy us. "the right time is now. Today is the day of salvation." You might be saying "but I'm already saved. I asked Jesus into my heart when I was a little kid", and I believe that to be true for many if not all of you and that is wonderful! But, this section of scripture is speaking about more than just having eternal life. Truly, now is the time for each of us to be saved - not just born again eternally, but to be saved from that which would hold us back presently. This chapter in Corinthians starts off with "As God's partners". We get to be partners with God? Yes! Isn't that amazing? We get to be part of what God is doing and wants to do and you are NEVER too young to be partners with God. God is not limited because of your young age. He is limitless. He used a donkey so surely He will use people of any age who are committed to Him. He wants to graft us in to the work He is doing and reach people with His love and saving grace through us. It is without a doubt the biggest honor of our lives to do this.
So, I, and Serena here, want to encourage you to seek the Lord now, because now is the time. I can't tell you how many teenagers I've known over the years that were just like you; they came to church, they said a prayer to ask Jesus to come into their heart, and then as they grew up they started to ignore God and to seek out their own desires, focusing on selfish ambitions, not growing in their walks with God and the next thing you know they have forgotten about God, don't think they need Him and quite frankly don't want Him at all. It is heartbreaking to see. So, my dear friends, I type this with tears in my eyes, and want to encourage you to please seek the Lord while He may be found because now is the time. Grow in your walks with Him. Never leave Him out of your life. Don't be a statistic, be a partner with God, with us, the body of Christ! It is THE most exciting, fulfilling life, one with purpose, filled with love, peace and joy. Hardships and even viruses and quarantines come to all, Christians and non Christians alike, but Christians have the power of the Holy Spirit empowering them, encouraging them, and carrying them through the joys and the sorrows of life. Let's all grow and become Gods warriors for good, for righteousness in this dark world. Who is with me?
