Beachside Youth Night is this coming Friday from 7:00 until 8:30 pm! We will all meet in the Beachside Cafe for a great time of worship, study, and fellowship. Your parents should have all received the announcement...so go and pow wow with them and let's see everyone at church this Friday evening. Contact Jeff, Lisa, Gina, Mark Marty, Juleen, or Peter for more info. Wear a name tag in case we have forgotten who you are (it's been so long). We are so excited to get together with you...our Beachside familia! See you then!
Hi Beachside brothers and sisters! In Romans, Paul writes....
Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed. The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let us lay aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
1. What's he mean, "awaken from sleep?" I'm not sleeping right now...are you?
2. How is our salvation nearer to us now than when we first became believers?
3. And just what are these "deeds of darkness" he writes and warns about?
4. "Armor of light!" What's that all about...and how do I get me one???
Let's read your answers here! I know you have some great insights and comments just waiting to burst forth!
Well...we have spent the summer as a church going through Pastor Chuck Smith's book; "Why Grace Changes Everything." I hope that all of you had the opportunity to study along......in a small home group, at Beachside on Wednesday nights, or at home with your family. I have read this book a couple of times over the years, and studying it with friends and family was a real sweet blessing for me! I hope that it was for you as well. If you didn't get a chance to read and study the book, and you would like a copy of your own...see Marty, Mark, or Pastor Jeff and we will make sure to get you your own copy.
In the last chapter of this book, we read this...
YOUR ONE DUTY
God has given you but one responsibility: to believe in His promise.
Think about this. Stack this claim up against all that you know about God and His Word.
........Do you agree with it?
........Do you believe this to be a Biblical truth?
........What PROMISE is Pastor Chuck writing about?
........What does it mean to you and your journey through this life with Jesus?
........How does this truth change your thinking, prayers, faith, life?
Share your thoughts with us here.
Blessings Beachside Your friends and family! God is good!

Hi Beachside friends!
In Psalm 32, God tells us this...
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you."
Share with us from your own experience how God instructs, teaches, and guides. I have taken great comfort in these words...a promise that He is for me and is intimately involved with me as I journey with Him. I'd love to hear how this wonderful promise is playing out in your lives.
OK everyone. So many great answers and responses to the "CANNIBALS" and the

Hi Beachside buoys and gulls! (nautical reference intended)
I hope that you are all taking the opportunity this summer to study along in Pastor Chuck Smith's book... "Why Grace Changes Everything."
I was reading in chapter 9 of the book today and came across this verse from the book of Galatians...here is what it says;
"If ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another."
Take a look at this verse and think on it for a while. What does Paul mean by this? I can't remember the last time that I went to church and was concerned about being bitten or devoured by a hungry junior high student! I have been "grilled" by some of you with your great insights and deep questions...but as far as I know, I haven't been on the menu yet, so to speak. So what does this mean? Have you ever been bitten, devoured, or consumed by another...or at least felt that way? It's certainly something to think about...and talk about...and post right here about. Let's all figure this out. In the mean time...all this talk of consuming has made be hungry, so...pizza it is! Hope to see you all again soon. Blessings friends!
