The writer of the book of Hebrews opens by telling the reader that God spoke long ago to man through the prophets and fathers many times and in many different ways. He goes on to proclaim that, "...in these last days God has spoken to us in His Son." God's final and perfect word to us...to all of humanity...was and is Jesus! He is God in human form and flesh, and the perfect representation of God the Father. In fact, Jesus said that, "If you have seen Me, you have seen the father." God in His eternal plan and unfathomable wisdom chose to communicate His great love to us through His final perfect word...JESUS. What more could He say? What more could He give? Jesus!!! Glory to the newborn King!
One of my favorite Bible verses for Christmas is Revelation 4:11, as it reminds me that this babe in the manger is truly the everlasting God Who was...from before eternity began our sacrifice that would make things right between us and the Father; Who is...at the right hand of God making intercession for us, while preparing a place for us to spend with Him forevermore; and Who is to come...And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS." What's one of your special favorite Christmas verses? Tell us why it's special to you. Enjoy this week! Keep your eyes on the greatest gift ever...JESUS! Wise men...and women...still seek Him! Blessings friends! Hope to see you all again soon. Be praying for our you group. Call or connect with your friends from Beachside in some way this week...ad wish them a Merry Christmas! MartyG Wishing you a very happy birthday Joshua! Hope that your day was special in every way! We are so glad that you are part of our Beachside Youth family. Enjoy!!!
Hi Beachside friends! Just a reminder that we will be gathering together in the Main Study at Beachside tomorrow morning (12/6/2020) at the 9:30 service. Pastor Bert shared last week that we will be taking a look at the life of Job. I spent this past week reading and contemplating the first 5 chapters, and I can tell you this...I am very interested to hear what Bert has to share with us from this amazing book of the Bible! I want to hear what you have to say about it as well! So let's just take chapter one together for a start. Read it over...and share your thoughts. Or your questions. I know I had a few as I read about Job, his family, the tragedy that befell him, God, Satan, worship, grief. It's all there for us...so let's learn together. Post your thoughts here, and I will look forward to sharing here, and seeing you all with your families tomorrow morning at CC Beachside. Blessings!
MartyG Hey Beachside Junior Highers!
This coming Sunday, 11/22/2020.... we will be meeting AGAIN in our Youth Room! Looking forward to a great morning of fellowship, worship, and Bible Study...with some of our favorite people on the planet! Get ahold of all of your Beachside friends and tell them to join us at 9:30 AM in the Youth Room. Let us know if you have any questions. See you then! MartyG Hi there Beachside Youth friends and family!
I read this in Jude 24 and 25 this morning... Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen...and it has stuck with me all day long! I think it is very important to start the day off, as best as we are able, by opening ourselves up to relationship with our God. By seeking Him early before the day gets busy and hectic. A long-ago Christian missionary to China named Hudson Taylor wrote this... "DO NOT HAVE YOUR CONCERT FIRST, AND THEN TUNE YOUR INSTRUMENT AFTERWARDS. BEGIN THE DAY WITH THE WORD OF GOD AND PRAYER, AND GET FIRST INTO HARMONY WITH HIM." Makes sense! Who would do that? But we all do just that with God sometimes...don't we? So let's hear from you all. What do you think of this quote...of the idea of making time with God our first priority every day? And what are some ways that you recommend that might help us all to start doing that...meeting God first...every day of our lives? Leave your thoughts, comments, ideas here for us all to read. Hope to see you all again soon! You are missed...you are loved... Many blessings! MartyG |
